Happy Friday everyone! Here are this week’s picks.
Taskmaster Series 21

Good news, everyone – Taskmaster is back with a new series. This one brings in another American contestant (Kumail Nanjiani) as well as satirist and television legend Armando Iannucci (Veep, The Death of Stalin).
For a bonus, check out season 2 of Laugh One Laughing UK on Prime. It’s a very funny time filled with past Taskmaster contestants (including Sam Campbell, Bob Mortimer, and Series 21 contestant Amy Gledhill).
Crawl
Where to watch: Paramount Plus or for digital rental
Netflix is hoping to make a splash (😉) this week with Tommy Wirkola’s Thrash, where Phoebe Dynevor gets trapped during a Category 5 hurricane and attacked by sharks. If the “natural disaster + monster movie” formula sounds familiar, that’s probably because of Alexandre Aja’s killer 2019 thriller Crawl, where Kaya Scodelario is trapped during a Category 5 Hurricane and is attacked by alligators. It’s a lean and mean horror thriller, and the arrival of Thrash is a great reason to check it out instead.
A corporate thriller
Where to watch: Criterion Channel
There are few things more fun than a good corporate thriller, and the Criterion Channel has a new collection full of them. For a particular recommendation, I can not suggest Michael Clayton strongly enough – either for a first-time watch or a rewatch.
