Weekend Watchlist, 5/29: Catch it
What to watch this weekend
Happy Friday, PV Guide readers! I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you.
In case you missed it, I’m running a new monthly poll where you can vote on an exclusive review for paid subscribers next month. The poll didn’t populate in the e-mail, but you can vote here.
Here are this week’s picks, with a focus on titles leaving streaming at the end of the month.

Inside Man

Where to watch: Leaving Amazon Prime 5/30
We're in the midst of a historic playoff run for the Knicks, and you know what that means: time to watch a Spike Lee movie! Inside Man is one of Spike’s most Hollywood movies, but it's also one of his best, an entertaining and twisty heist thriller with an unbelievable cast and a strong New York vibe. For more, check out this recent episode of the Box Office GROSS podcast where David Roth and the crew discussed the movie.
The Martian

Where to watch: Leaving Peacock 5/31
The massive success of Project Hail Mary this spring had me thinking about a different Andy Weir sci-fi story about a man stranded far away in space. I prefer The Martian between the two movies, but you can't really go wrong. This one's leaving Peacock at the end of the month, and star Matt Damon is also about to be Odysseus on the big screen, so it’s a strong weekend to visit or revisit Mars with him.
Kneecap

Where to watch: Leaving Netflix 6/1
A musician biopic of any real quality is an extremely rare thing these days. (Watch this great video from Second Wind for more on the recent trend of horrible musician biopics). But this one's a real winner, a fictionalized version of the story behind the Irish rap group Kneecap, starring Kneecap as themselves. It's funny, it's sharp, and you'll learn a lot about Ireland and the Irish language. It also leaves its streaming service (Netflix) at the end of the month, so check it out while you can.
